Tinubu redeploys three Ministers, assigns new roles to others

President Bola Tinubu has sanctioned the reassignment of three Ministers, as conveyed in an official announcement endorsed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.


Engr. Abubakar Momoh's new post is at the Federal Ministry of Niger Delta Development, following his redeployment from the Federal Ministry of Youth. The Federal Ministry of Youth is set to be entrusted to an upcoming Minister-designate in the near future.


The reshuffling of Ministers-designate assigned to the Federal Ministries of Transportation, Interior, and Marine & Blue Economy has resulted in the subsequent changes:


(A) H.E. Adegboyega Oyetola is now designated as the Honourable Minister of Marine & Blue Economy.


(B) Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo has been reassigned as the Honourable Minister of Interior.


(C) Hon. Sa’idu Alkali has taken up the role of the Honourable Minister of Transportation.


Furthermore, both Ministers of State within the Oil & Gas sector have been incorporated into the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources under the subsequent titles:


(i) Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri is now the Hon. Minister of State (Oil), Petroleum Resources.


(ii) Hon. Ekperipe Ekpo assumes the role of the Hon. Minister of State (Gas), Petroleum Resources.


The renaming of the Federal Ministry of Environment and Ecological Management to the Federal Ministry of Environment has also received the President's approval.


"All the aforementioned adjustments shall be effective immediately, as per the President's directives," the announcement concluded.
