Gov Oborevwori says; We’ll complete all projects in Delta

Assuring a commitment to the completion of ongoing projects, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State reiterated his dedication to this endeavor. His reassurance came to light during the 23rd Ogwa Ika and 19th Ika Ka Mma Annual Lecture series, a significant event held at Idumu-Esah within the Ika North East Local Government Area.

The Governor's message was conveyed by Kingsley Emu, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), in attendance at the event. Notably, Governor Oborevwori shared that the commencement of the Rest Park, situated between Umunede and Emuhu, is imminent.

"With regards to the Rest Park, all concerns have been addressed and we are ready to make progress. On the matter of dormant road projects, we encourage you to provide us with the project locations and the respective contractors responsible, so we can take appropriate measures," Governor Oborevwori explained.

He elaborated that a dedicated committee has been established in all local government areas to effectively tackle the challenges arising from the relationship between herders and farmers, indicating that the issue of herdsmen is actively being addressed.

Advocating unity among the community, Governor Oborevwori asserted, "Our solidarity is paramount. We should exert our collective efforts to nurture and promote harmony."

Expressing concern about the increasing unruliness among the younger generation, he emphasized the value of education, underscoring that it is indeed a valuable investment. "Success in life is a multifaceted journey; adhering to established paths will lead to a fulfilling and regret-free future," the Governor advised.

Furthermore, he extended an invitation to accomplished individuals from the Ika community to reinvest in their homeland, highlighting that such endeavors would contribute significantly to job creation for the local populace, as the government alone cannot fulfill all employment needs.

Governor Oborevwori conveyed gratitude to the organizers of the Ogwa Ika event and encouraged their continued collaboration with traditional leaders, government entities, and pertinent associations to advance the betterment of society.
