The Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources has initiated a demolition operation targeting illegal structures situated along the perimeter fence of Lagos State Model College, Meiran. The announcement of this action came from Tokunbo Wahab, the Commissioner for the Environment, through an official statement on Monday.
The operation is being carried out by the Monitoring Enforcement and Compliance Department of the State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources. Wahab conveyed the intent behind this effort, stating, "Demolition of all illegal structures along the perimeter fence of Lagos State Model College, Meiran, Agbado, Oke-Odo LCDA, and environs today by the Monitoring Enforcement and Compliance Department of Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources."
This measure is aimed at addressing the issue of unauthorized structures in the vicinity of the school and ensuring compliance with regulations governing land use and property development in Lagos State.
