Tyson Fury has confirmed his highly anticipated rematch with
WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder will take place on 22 February 2020.
“The rematch has been confirmed and signed [for] 22
February. It’s on, the rematch,” the British heavyweight champion told the
audience at a Q&A event at the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford, West
Yorkshire.
He added: " This time I am going to knock him out. This
time I haven't been out the ring for three years, this time I haven't been
abusing too much alcohol."
The first bout between Fury and Wilder in December 2018 was
controversially scored as a draw, despite observers' later saying they believe
the British fighter deserved the win.
The 30-year-old has vowed not to let his rematch with Wilder
go to the judges and is aiming to win Wilder’s belt outright.
